Approach open Second Day Opportunities Group in Leek

By 29th March 2019July 16th, 2022No Comments

Approach Dementia Support open Second Day Opportunities Group in Leek.

For the last few years we have operated a group every Tuesday from the Salvation Army Centre, Salisbury Street. Due to the popularity of this group in Leek we are now able to offer a second day opportunities group, which operates every Thursday, also from the Salvation Army Centre. This opportunity has only been possible thanks to a kind donation from Leek Rotary Club who have generously supported the group.

On Thursday 28th March, we held an open morning to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Approach staff were in attendance and it was a great opportunity for informal carers and professionals alike to find out more about the service and how we support people living with dementia.

We would like to send a special thank you to Leek Rotary Club who have supported us with funding for this second day group. We are so grateful for your support and it was a pleasure to have a number of Rotarians join our celebration.

Thank you to Leek Town Mayor, Councillor Roy Tomkinson and Town Crier Bill Lomas who also joined us to find out more about our services.

If you were unable to join us but would like to find out more about our Leek group or our other groups across the north Staffordshire, please contact us on 01782 214999 or email enquiries@approachstaffordshire.co.uk
