Approach Celebrates Older Peoples Day- 1st October 2018
As part of our Charity of the Year partnership we will be in Marks and Spencer’s Hanley store on Monday 1st October 2018 from 11.00am-2.00pm.
Monday 1st October is Older People’s Day which contests some of the negative attitudes towards older people and instead strives to celebrate the achievements and contributions of older people in our communities.
In conjunction with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 70th anniversary this year, the theme for Older People’s Day 2018 surrounds celebrating and championing older human rights and their freedoms.
To ensure that older people feel valued and respected in our local community, we will be in the Marks and Spencer’s store to chat to our community about our services and how we can support older people who have a diagnosis of dementia to remain independent and live well with dignity.
