Approach Saturday Cafés - News and Dates 2012  

Approach now has two Saturday Cafés. The original Café in Leek has recently been joined by another very successful one in Newcastle. Both Cafés run once a month between 11.00am and 2.00pm and provide a mixture of free advice and support for carers of older people with dementia or mental health issues, as well as a opportunity for carers to meet others in the same situation.

The Saturday Cafés also provide a "take a break service" where carers can leave the person they care for to enjoy up to three hours of structured activites, including a light lunch. The cost of the this is only £12 for the three hours but places are limited so book early.

Dates for the second half of 2012 have just been released and are as follows:

Leek  - Salvation Army, Salisbury Street, Leek, ST13 5EE:

June 9th, July 7th, August 11th, September 8th.

Newcastle - May Place Day Centre, May Place, Brampton Road,

ST5 0RJ:

May 26th, June 30th, July 28th, August 25th, September 29th, October 27th, November 24th, December 29th.
